Hubby and I have been working on a puzzle since Christmas – not every day mind you, but off and on. When we started we first sat down and put all the outside pieces together and no matter how many times we looked we were still missing a piece. It wasn’t until the cat one night pulled the table cloth and totally destroyed the puzzle….that we found the ‘missing’ piece. The piece wasn’t missing at all – we just connected in the wrong spot. The piece looked like it fit, but that wasn’t where it belonged.

After that we started to work on different sections of the puzzle, but found we couldn’t find any pieces….that is until we stood up. When we stood up we could see the whole puzzle and all the pieces. Now the puzzle isn’t complete – its a work in progress, but there has been progress.

That is how are lives are – we have pieces in places we think they fit, but they really don’t belong there. We have piles of pieces yet to go, but can’t make sense of them of where they even belong. At times we look at the pieces and are sure they don’t even belong to the puzzle of our life. We will never make the pieces fit until we allow God to take over control of our lives.

When God takes over our puzzle – things will look different. He may even destroy all ‘our’ work and reassemble the puzzle to make it fit the way it should..but it will finally fit. You see God wants to stand over us and put the pieces where they really go and not where WE want them to go.

Have you given control of your life over to God? Have you asked Jesus into your heart…to remake your life in the image HE always intended? Gods word says

“I will bring the blind by a way they did not know;
I will lead them in paths they have not known.
I will make darkness light before them,
And crooked places straight.
These things I will do for them,
And not forsake them.
Isaiah 42:16

But God can’t do that – until we surrender control….until we invite Jesus in …things won’t change. Are you tired of not having all your pieces fitting? Call on Jesus today….and let Him change your tomorrow
